I have diverticulosis and had an episode of mild diverticulitis last year. i often have discomfort in the belly area, and over the past 7 years, my belly just keeps getting bigger, and pants are very uncomfortable. is diverticulosis causing this?

Diverticulosis is asymptomatic, only diverticulitis or diverticular bleeding are symptomatic. Your symptoms are not consistent to the complications of diverticulosis. You should see your doctor for the etiology of increased abdominal girth.
