Most hypertension is eventually labeled as "essential" which is the medical term for of unknown cause. The kidney and other workups are routine since the kidney plays a role in blood pressure & many young kids this is the origin. I wouldn't lose sleep looking for a cause. You can always have a thyroid or other issue as a coincidence, but I wouldn't bet on it being related.

No use speculating. You have to be seen in an academic center and your problem will be found and treated properly. good luck
