Head bulges: Hello, while we assume that high blood pressure causes arteries/veins to throb that is generally true only in large ones. Small ones respond to high blood pressure by become tighter and more narrow. It is not clear that the blood pressure and bulge are related. However a visit to PCP could help as bulges on side of head associated with tenderness can be temporal arteritis
