Good evening, i have hypertension, family genes. ultrasound came back mild echogenic kidney texture. started meds. does this mean ill eventually have kidney failure?renal function always has been normal with no protein in urine. just really stressed?

You seem to need a further work-ups for delineating the cause(s) for hypertension. Sonographic finding is not specific enough for any particular kidney disease.

Good evening to you too-------No it does not. A well controlled HBP does not lead to kidney failure. I think with normal kidney function there was no need for an ultrasound. You will be fine. Enjoy life.
