Yes, as long as your doctor does not have significant disability which limits the communication, physical contact and cognitive function, he is still able to practice. If your doctor does not have significant cerebral (or mental) dysfunction patient's care is not much affected. When I was a fellow I worked along with an excellent medical student who suffered from MS.
