A member asked:

Do men over age 50 need a psa test and a prostate exam once per year or can they have it done less often? do the testicles need to be examined also or is that not needed anymore at that age?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is a bit controversial right now. If no history of prostate cancer, no symptoms then a base line prostate exam and PSA now. subsequent follow up will depend on symptoms, rate of change/ level of PSA and your Urologist's judgement
