Lab results are numbers, and numbers are just numbers. They have little meaning without looking at the whole person. One's primary doctor can review the big picture and decide if the numbers are good, bad, or neutral. For example, glucose under 100 is not considered high. HbA1c is an AVERAGE, meaning it can be high, low, or in-between, depending on glucose level flucutations throughout the week.

An A1c of 5.1% maps to an average blood sugar of about 100 mg/dL. Therefore your blood glucose and A1c are in balance. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
