Type I diabetes.: With a hemoglobin A1C so high and I assume a high fasting glucose, unfortunately, it appears that you are diabetic. A high glutamic decarboxylase can mean anti-islet cell of the pancreas antibodies, but can also be elevated in other autoimmune conditions. A lower C-peptide and positive antibodies indicate Type I diabetes. If you are not on insulin yet, please seek help ASAP in the ER.
