You need to see a doctor for finding the cause of your leg edema (leg and ankle swelling) then appropriate treatment can be done. In the meantime, you should limit both salt and fluid intake, i.e. no added salt or sauce to your foods with a total fluid intake (all sources) less than 1.2 liters (less than 42 ounces).

Edema in the legs could be caused by a number of things: blood clots, varicose veins, diabetes, pregnancy, heart and liver and kidney disease, or high salt diet. The latter would be an easy adjustment as well as elevating the legs above the heart. There are also over the counter compression socks to prevent blood from pooling. Otherwise, a clinical evaluation should be warranted.

You are 24 yo and having swelling problems in your legs. I would get a complete examination extremities, cardiovascular need to be assessed you did not state your activity that causes this condition. Are you overweight? Please see family doctor to diagnosis your situation
