Veins: I suspect that your pregnancy resulted in some degree of vein damage in your legs. Brownish pigmentation of the lower legs and ankle edema are probably caused by venous insufficiency. Wearing elastic stockings, elevating your legs when sitting and following a low salt diet should be helpful. A vascular surgeon could evaluate your vein status of your legs and advise you.
