Telogen effluvium (transient hair loss) does not last for 2 years, most of the time it recovers months. You may suffer from alopecia areata or alopecia universalis (totalis). If you also lost hairs from eyes, armpits or genital areas, you have had the latter condition. You should see a dermatologist for the specific treatment.
