Sounds like you might have a telogen effluvium secondary to a bout of fever, virus, and hospitalization. Usually such a condition occurs after 3 mos of the event. Strongly suggest that you see your dermatologist for eval and advice. There is also a genetic/family history factor involved in male patterned alopecia. The derm visit should elucidate your situation and be a learning experience.
