A member asked:

Its been an year and still my hair falls with whitebulb attached to the end, is this normal in telogen effluvium or is it male pattern baldness (my dad doesnt have it) i have a diffuse hairfall though regrowth is seen hair just falls out what is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

There is no way to tell without an in-person evaluation. The causes of hair loss number literally in the hundreds. The white bulbs attached to the hair roots suggest a common telogen effluvium, but a year is a long time for a TE to continue. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist for a proper evaluation and appropriate treat
