6 weeks ago i had to get an iv in the hospital. upon admission one nurse tried to give me an iv using a huge needle and had no luck. now im having a lot of pain in that area. could something be damaged? how can i find out?

Seeing your doc in follow up after your hospital encounter will be best in trying to clarify what might be causing persisting pain. Sometimes a hematoma forms or a collection of blood and that will have to be ruled out first.
