Local swelling and discomfort feeling rather than soreness and walking difficulty are the symptoms of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). You can do a therapeutic diagnosis by taking 2 buprofen OTC (200 mg x 2), q 6 hours, for 2 times. If pain goes away next day, DVT is ruled out.
