She can be right: Calf pain can be a sign of a blood clot also called thrombophlebitis. Your pulses would be Ok with a blood clot. the calf location is suggestive. Sometimes you don't see the swelling. You can best evaluate this with your physician. If necessary you can get a vascular study done by an ultrasound.
