A member asked:

My father in law has high sugar & bp. took 6doses of steroids as he developed rheumatoid arthritis. now after several tests his crp is 39.14. is this a matter of concern? does it anyway indicating something severe?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The high blood pressure and sugar are more concerning than the high CRP. The Rheumatoid arthritis may be causing the high CRP because of inflammation, and the steroid causing the high sugar and probably the BP. It is important to follow up with the provider there so they could adjust the management.
