A member asked:

I had blood tests and i have low iron levels (9.9 and apparently its supposed to be over 20). im struggling with constant fatigue. should i be testing vitamin b 12 as well in case its not actually and iron problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fix the Iron First: Low iron levels can cause fatigue. B12 deficiency can too, but not as often in developed countries. Though, you might not be getting enough in your diet if you are vegan or not absorbing enough from your diet. What other testing was done? Thyroid levels? Metabolic panel? Ask your doctor!
