No, fluid status does not correlate with the pain severity. High fluid may help the stone moving better by high urine flow and increased ureter peristalsis. Renal colic is self limited by nature, pain will ease at certain time, usually after 4-6 hours but it does not mean the stone has been out of the ureter. But yes, some people may pass the stone out next day with only moderate pain.

pain and passage of kidney sone depend on many things like size, site , type etc. Dehydration does not worsen pain but reduces chances of passage. Time of passage of a stone is unpredictable. Wish you qwell
