A member asked:

Cardiac mri normal but mobitz type 1 during sleep and rest. cardiologist said no further action needed as benign. im really scared?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mobitz type.I is a benign, usually asymptomatic form of second degree AV block where the PR interval progressively increases until only one beat is dropped. However, it's a problem in the heart's conduction mechanism& should have periodic followup which is needed to detect a worsening to Mobitz 2 type of 2nd degree AV block where more beats are blocked requiring a permanent pacemaker insertion
