I took 1mg lorazepam last night. i wanted to take a zzzquil tonight (over 24 hrs later), but im not confident thats a good idea. i asked a pharmacist and they said 24 hrs later its ok. ive read that lorazepam stays in your system over 24 hrs?

The half-life of a med is the time for half to be eliminated by the body. For this drug the cited half-life is 12 hours, meaning 3/4 is eliminated in 24 hours. By 4 half-lives the med is considered gone. The presence of a small amount of this drug in the body after 24 hours would have minimal chance of reacting negatively with Zzzquill. I see no need to avoid use but do as you wish.
