The end of my middle finger hurts when cold water gets on it like an exposed tooth root would. it doesnt hurt any other time. i work with my hands but dont have any injuries. what would cause that. started about 4 days ago?

If the finger turns pale or blue when it hurts, and becomes cool to the touch, you may have Raynaud's syndrome (google it for more information). Often it is triggered by cold temperatures. Most cases are not serious and don't need treatment, but Raynaud's can be serious or can sometimes be due to other health problems. If this seems likely as you read more about it, discuss with your doctor.
