What can cause a high a/g ratio? normal albumin but low globulin?

Seeing the actual numbers would be more helpful, but every now and then I've encountered this ratio but never got any good reason for a normal albumin with a low globulin. Malnutrition is the only reason I've read about that may cause the low globulin. As long as you have normal liver function labs otherwise and no hematology disorders, I'd disregard the low globulin. Low albumin is more serious

Recent labs indicated high Albumin (5.6) and low Globulin (1.3). Fasting sugar elevated (136). All other labs normal. A/G ratio 5.6. Retested due to potential dehydration. Awaiting results B/C survivor so some concern. Asking for opinion?
Testing for AL amyloid. SPEP shows no M-spike but mildly elevated total protein & A/G ratio (2.7) due to high albumin. Globulins well within normal range. Worrisome? Serum/urine IFE &marrow biopsy ok, but elevated free K/L ratio due to low lambda.
