Recent labs indicated high albumin (5.6) and low globulin (1.3). fasting sugar elevated (136). all other labs normal. a/g ratio 5.6. retested due to potential dehydration. awaiting results b/c survivor so some concern. asking for opinion?

I strongly suspect lab error. History of breast cancer has nothing to do with the albumin/globulin and low globulin, low volume will increase both A & G, not albumin alone. You need to to have another fasting blood sugar and HbA1C at the same time for confirming or ruling out type 2 diabetes mellitus if you are not a diabetic. Please patiently wait for the results of repeat test(s). Take care.

My albumin level on my last blood test was 2.6 G/DL and globulin level was 3.8 G/DL making my A/G Ratio 0.6. The rest of my labs were within range. Do you find people with low A/G ratios such as mine with no underlying condition?
