I have been bleeding during and after sex with pain. i got tested and was positive for enterococcus faecalis. my doctor prescribed clindamycin and it didnt work. what is the best treatment for this?

Assume the diagnosis is accurate and you need antibiotic for E. faecalis. Ampicillin is the antibiotic of choice for this organism if it is still sensitive with ampicillin by culture result. If it is resistant to ampicillin, the only oral med can be used for this organism is linezolid (Zyvox). Clindamycin is not used to treat E. faecalis.
