Valsartan lowest strength is 40 mg and it comes in 4 strengths: 40, 80, 160 & 320 mg. Irbesartan comes in 3 strengths only: 75, 150 and 320 mg. You can try one half (1/2) of 75 mg tablet of Irbesartan as an alternative of valsartan 40 mg.
