Upper abdominal discomfort is a characteristic of chronic gastritis. Has it been diagnosed by a gastroscopy? Have you been checked for H Pylori? Why can't your symptoms be explained by gastritis? Are you on appropriate diet & medication? Perhaps your gastroenterologist doesn't think you have chronic gastritis. In any event you may want to obtain a second opinion.
