Prilosec: Prilosec is not considered a bad medication at all and has been taken by millions of people without dangerous effects. It will interfer with the absorption of vit B12 so it's wise to take B12 by injection or by tablets that dissolve in your mouth if you're taking Prilosec for months. Follow your gastroenterologist' s advice and heal up your gastritis and esophagitis.

You need a ppi: Prilosec is a "ppi" or proton pump inhibitor. these are very good medications to treat gastritis and esophagitis. there are different brands.
