Diagnosed with chronic gastritis by egd/colonoscopy. no h pylori. have changed diet, no nsaids and no alcohol. am getting dull pains below left rib cage and in left flank. is this normal during the healing process or should i ask for more testing?

If the symptom characteristics are the same but less intensity, you are probably okay. However, your pain location is not typical for gastritis. You did not mention if you are taking any medication for gastritis after the diagnosis.
