I recently tested positive for a uti and i also noticed after a while i felt sore around my chest and near my armpits not on them but around where i see the lymph nodes are mapped on the body. could it just be my body fighting the infection?

No, UTI does not cause reactive lymph nodes in those locations.

No that is not and it is erroneous to guess the cause and effect of an illness. Best to ask your doc to explain
