Despite the wearing of headsets during an MRI, the noise producing element is so strong that one can still get inner ear symptoms like tinnitus or hearing loss unfortunately. We hope that these effects will improve over time. I'm aware of a patient's tinnitus getting worse only transiently after an MRI. In your case time will tell.

Ear ringing (tinnitus) is not known as a side effect of brain MRI. I wonder if your current symptom has anything to do with the reason why MRI was ordered. You likely will see a neurologist so you can discuss with the specialist about this symptom.
