How can a person be in the hospital for heart problems, had 4 chest x-rays normal blood work 4 times. 2 months later dxed with lung cancer with mets to liver and spine. Trying hard to understand this I keep thinking something was missing?

I have heart BPM of about 75 average according to my blood pressure machine (is this ok?) but my phone app says in the 90's and once 142!, go to doc?
Should blood pressure always be taking at heart level? Mine reads high if taken below it and reads low if above the heart. Doc says mine is high.
