I have gerd and haven't been to the doctor in along time as i don't have insurance. i'm wondering if i don't have proof of papers if they can still prescribe me with a higher dose of acid reflux medicene because it's severe feeling last few days?

You just have to take a double dose of the OTC proton pump inhibitor drugs such as Prilosec (20 mg x 2) or Prevacid (15 mg x 2) if you can afford them.
