I have had chornic gerd since i was 22, and now im 30. had surgery w/ linx device. still need ppi, but surgeon says no. confirmed no reflux on barium swallow, but repeat 48hr ph shows worse acid reflux . doc says position of prob prob too deep. idea?

Symptoms of GERD can occur regardless of testing. This issue often involves more than "too much acid". There are many excellent treatment strategies (pharmaceutical & non-pharma) that you can pursue with your regular physician.

You have to somehow have a confirmed dignosis of reflux- for your symptoms suggest you do and the surgery has not been effective. Ask your surgeon for rhe next step or see another one. Good luck.

7 weeks post Nissen. Day time reflux cured, but am having nighttime reflux. I swallow and hear a squeak that sounds liquidy, not nearly as bad as pre-op. To verify wrap is good: Barium? motility test? Or two soon to tell if gerd is back?
I had bad refliux after GERD surgery, my surgeon did ct, he can see how is wrap after CT test?
