Doctor ordered spep due to celiac test last year showed iga 525. i did not have celiac. the spep showed elevated beta globulin 2 0.6 and my igm was low 39. she then ordered immunofix no protein. i had radioactive iodine 30mci april 20 concerned?

Radio-iodine treatment would not affect the results of immunofixation. An elevated IgA can be due to number of GI disorders. Your doctor is trying to exclude a monoclonal IgA that can be an indication of a neoplastic process.
