"is there nothing I can do to stop it"- Are you referring to the Catheterization? Have you been catheterized since the operation. A follow up with your Dr is most likely needed to sort this out. Typically catheterization is needed for drainage following use of strong anesthetic meds. It does not typically continue for 2 months unless there are other problems.

Ask MD reason for catheter and then get treated for it. If you had no urinary problem before you should have no problem now.
