You need to consult a urologist. Endoscopic retrieval of the stone may be feasible. Depending on the size of the stone, inserting a stent in the ureter may facilitate passage of stone in urine. Open surgical procedure may not be needed.

Depends on the place in the ureter, its size. Needs close follow-up and treatment to prevent loss of kidney function
