A member asked:

What are the chances i might need surgery for a pinched nerve that stopped causing pain nearly a year ago and only causes tingling down my mid arm to pinky area when i only shrug my shoulders? may it still be treated nonsurgically?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Surgery is last: Unlikely surgical. There are stretches and strengthening exercises you can try first, for the neck, and upper extremities. I recommend YIN YOGA to many patients for this very problem. Try everything you can before moving forward with invasive care. Second opinions are also recommended!
