A member asked:

I'm a 45f and just had my first colonoscopy. doctor found a 7mm sessile serrated adenoma. pathology came back 5mm, no dysplasia or malignancy. what are my chances of cc in 5 years (next colonoscopy). as a doctor, would you be scared?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No. If there was only one polyp and it was removed, it is safe to repeat the colonoscopy in five years. You may discuss if with your doctor if repeating the procedure earlier is warranted.
