This level in the thousand range suggests severe disease, 500's active hepatitis. The sited numbers can reflect an asymptomatic liver irritation from a transient viral infection of flu. I would repeat the test in a month or two and expect it to return to your baseline. Please discuss the values with the doc who knows your history and exam findings.

Your weight and alcohol are both risk factors for fatty liver and that can explain the abnormal results. There is no safe level of alcohol intake. Losing weight, not easy, is imperative. The sooner you act the better to prevent deterioration of liver function and structure. Wish you good health!
