A 30-year-old female asked:

X-ray on lumbar spine with flex ext says -bilateral pars defect at l5 with approximately 3 mm anterolisthesis relative to s1, spina bifida occulta at l5. my mri shows the same as well as- mild facet arthropathy at l3-4 and l4-5. what's this mean?

It means you need to look at the x-rays with your Dr and have them explain exactly what is going on. Different Drs will used differnt terms for the same thing. eBe certain you have told him all the symptoms you are having. Your back is talking to you it seems. Listen and take good notes, share with your Drs and you all will figure it out. .
