Can covid infection affect hiv test results? i had covid 8 weeks prior to taking my confirmatory hiv test at day 137 post exposure 4th gen lab test. was my test accurate/conclusive? i tested negative day 22 and 30 before getting covid?

Another question along the same lines. There are NO medical conditions that have any effect on timing or reliability of the HIV blood tests, including COVID. PLEASE STOP ASKING ALL THESE ANXIETY DRIVEN QUESTIONS. CONSIDER PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING TO ADDRESS WHY YOU HAVE SUCH DIFFICULTY ACCEPTING REASONED, SCIENCE BASED ADVICE.

Agree with Dr. Handsfield. However, HIV is only one of the STDs. A condom may not protect against HPV, Herpes, LGV, syphilis, pubic lice etc. It would be prudent to see your doctor for an evaluation. Visit this site for information: https://www.cdc.gov/std/default.htm Wish you good health!
