Is it broken? i fell on top of my foot yesterday and the pain was unbearable, my ankle is swollen and turning purple, can't withstand any weight. hopping at all times. and it's very numb?

Would suggest having your ankle examined at a local urgent care. A fracture cannot be ruled out, an ankle sprain appears likely at a minimum use rest, ice, compression and elevation for now.
