Insect bite near ankle area around including near ankle and top part of foot has swollen up bit of a rash quite itchy now there is a dark red purple area around bite what do i do to treat it please?

See a doctor: Put ice on it till you get to the doctor and take an antihistamine like benedryl. You possibly need oral antibiotics. Elevate the foot as much as possible. Tetanus immunization should also be reviewed.

Couple of things: Try Hydrocortisone cream and using ice to it for 20 min.. If it does not resolve see a doctor.
