I've had fibromyalgia for 20 years now. in february started having severe muscle cramps in hands, sides of abdomen and legs with vertigo. now severe pain in hands. could this be neuropathy? don't feel like carpal tunnel or arthritis?

Fibromyalgia does and can cause all the mentioned symptoms. It does not sound like neuropathy

Of course, this could very well be a polyneuropathy. We have found that a considerable number of patients labeled as having fibromyalgia were indeed mis-diagnosed, and in actuality, did have instead a small fiber neuropathy. Try to obtain a neurological consultation. We do have some excellent clinicians here at HT, practicing in your state, but your medical school might be of value.
