A member asked:

I am experiencing back pain (severity: severe) (side: lower) but not pain shooting down the leg, back tenderness to touch, leg tingling, muscle cramps or spasms, leg numbness, leg pain, obesity, stiff joints, leg weakness, and hand pain.

Back pain: Your question is confusing as I'm unsure of whether or not you're having all those symptoms along with back pain. If you are, you'll require evaluation by a neurosurgeon. For uncomplicated low back pain, try rest, hot alternating with cold applications, liniment like BenGay,and take anti-inflammatory medication like Advil or Aleve. See your physician or orthopedic specialist as needed.
