Diabetes vs neck?: Prediabetic neuropathy is not usually as full fledged, intense, and progressive as that which is experienced with full fledged diagnosed diabetes. Might your doctor consider just idiopathic neuropathy rather than relating it to prediabetes? This is neuropathy with an uncertain cause. Treatment would likely be similar if it's true neuropathy.Have you had nerve testing? Or neck MRI to look at disks?

No,: neuropathic pain has a different character. Nerve impingement is more probable and can be caused by being sandwiched between two spinal bones, pressed by a bulging disc or encroached upon by bony overgrowth. Rec.: see an interventional pain management specialist for further investigation. Someone who is using fluoroscope.
