I suffer from fluctuating mood swings, that is sometimes i go into a sad state for few days, while some days i remain normal. i have anxiety issues since yrs along with rls & overthinking issue. doctor suggests buspirone, is there any better medicine?

Better is a broad term. The treatment of depression is tricky and can be a trial and error experiment as is much of medicine. Everyone is different. My recommendation is to discuss your concerns.
