A member asked:

I started invisalign 4 days ago and now have thick white edges on the sides of my tongue. i went back to the orthodontist (assistant) and they wouldn't file down my aligners since i wasn't having any pain. will this eventually go away?

I would ask your orthodontist who actually knows what the problem or maybe even his assistant.

White line indicates irritation. you will adapt in time, but you shouldn'st have to. It's an easy adjustment. See the Orthodontist. If you are paying for a specialist's expertise, request that you be seen. Pain is not the only indicator that your trays require adjustment.
