Possibly thyroiditis: Hypervascularity is a typical finding in people with underlying autoimmune thyroiditis (hashimoto's or graves disease). The 3 mm nodule is likely of no significance and can be watched. You need to know your TSH level. Getting thyroid antibodies (thyroid peroxidase, thyroglobulin antibodies) would be helpful in making a diagnosis.
